Victoria and Vancouver Island

Several of you have asked about our trip to Victoria and Vancouver Island that we took over Memorial Day weekend, so sorry this post is a bit late! We'd been hearing how amazing Victoria was, so we had to check it out. Russ and I just took a day trip, but it was really fun. It turned out to be a pretty chilly spring day and it took us almost five hours to get there on three buses and a ferry, but it was definitely worth it. Take a look!

Eating at this great hole in the wall (literally) place by the harbor called "Red Fish, Blue Fish." We found it on yelp.com, which is a great way to find great local restaurants. I had the Pacific Rim chowder and Russ had salmon. As you can see, nothing fancy but it was delectable.

View of the Capitol Building across the harbor. Victoria is the capital of the British Columbia province.

The famous Empress Hotel.

High Tea at the Empress. We tried our best to look very sophisticated in this picture... I don't think it worked very well :)

We drank more tea than you could possibly imagine, which we sort of regretted on bus ride back.

We also went to Beacon Hill Park and enjoyed the beautiful nature scene.
