Roaming the Streets

Last weekend we had a free afternoon on Saturday, so we headed to the waterfront district to walk around. We had lunch in Gastown, the oldest and most historic part of town and noted for its steam clock. We've eaten all sorts of ethnic food since we've been here, so we decided to go American and ate at the Old Spaghetti Factory. Russ grew up going there when he was little, but I'd never been there before. It was a great deal and good to try once, but I think we'll stick to other places for now...like this awesome new shawarma and falafel kiosk we found last week. Afterwards, we headed to Yaletown, which is a really pretty area of the city with great views of the marina and False Creek. It's full of trendy little shops and restaurants, definitely an area we want to head back to again.

Best shawarma in town (as you can see by this face!)

Random hotdog stand...we just really loved his hat!
