People love simit here. Simit is circular bread with sesame seeds on it. We eat it for breakfast or as a snack. It's super cheap, only about 15 cents.
Vendors sell it on the streets in kiosks like this one.
Sometimes they carry them on big poles this one or on their heads.
In our city, we have a guy that comes on the weekends down the streets in our neighborhood and in a loud, deep, scruffy voice yells for us to buy "taze (fresh) simit!"
