Our first week here, we bought a washer and dryer (or rather, drying rack). It took me 30 minutes and a dictionary to figure out the settings, but I finally got it to work AND the clothes came out clean!
We have now gotten used to the washer taking two hours per load and sounding like it's either going to explode or launch into our roof. It scared me half to death on the first load I did, but apparently those sounds are "normal."
