We finally ordered some furniture that arrived at the beginning of September. It was great not to have to sit on camping chairs any longer. We love Ikea, but we decided not to buy any of our bigger furniture there, so we could buy locally in town. This was a great way for us to get to know people and storeowners in our city and we had fun doing it. We decided to go with a simple brown and cream/tan striped model for our living room and dining room.
Our neighbors heard that we didn't have a TV yet and felt sorry for us, so they gave us their old one. Now the rumor going around in our building is that we're poor because we didn't have a TV. Pretty funny.
