Furniture...

...we didn't have any. So one of the first things we had to do was to go shopping. For EVERYTHING. We spent a few weeks getting rid of most everything we owned in the States, so it's a bit ironic to now have to buy everything all over again.


I'm not a shopper. In fact, shopping really stresses me out. Thankfully, where we are, choices are somewhat limited for most things. So, the past month has been...crazy. Trust me, starting out all over again sounds really exciting (and sometimes it really is), but outfitting a whole house all over again can be overwhelming.

However, there's an IKEA about an hour and a half away from us. Of all places, IKEA can turn me into a shopper. It's wonderful. We had never been to one in the States, so when we went in... talk about consumer overload. Luckily, we only had one van, so we had to pick what we wanted carefully.

 A VERY full van after a long day of hard work. The next day, we put everything together...do it yourself furniture!

 Yay, something else to sit in besides camping chairs! And much more comfy.

 A place where we can finally eat.


And something we can eat on...dishes!


We also got a desk and chair.
