Christmas Celebration

On Christmas Eve, we got to have some friends over to our place for a big Christmas celebration. It was wonderful. None of us had family here this year, so we were each others' family. Since most people don't celebrate Christmas here, being around those that do was such a blessing for us.

Lining up for the grub.

Full spread, we even got to have turkey.

The best gifts in the world...they taste so much better when you can't get them here.

We exchanged names a month before Christmas and finally got to open presents.

They love the movie Cars, so we got them Mater and the tow truck.

Chocolate Monopoly, yum.

My friend C gave me Crocs and a real Yankee candle, very fun.

R gave Russ backgammon and rummikub (I think)

Our neighbor gave us these as a gift...we think it was a joke. She said this will be us when we get old and they'll make us laugh.

Stockings!

Thanks to my dear friend Allison, I got Russ some Pumas from the States.

...and a new book. Go Noles!

Russ gave me a vest and scarf...and an IHome. We can't get electronics mailed in because the tax is so high, but it's coming via a friend in a month or so.

On Christmas night we headed over for a dessert night at the Ls. The girls made a great gingerbread house.

And last...our dear neighbor really wanted us to put her sign up for our Christmas party. It was just too funny not to :)
